Thanks for your comments Somaie,

Yes, you're correct about small business owners often being overlooked in general comment about business success and profits, and that's such a shame, because small business owners are literally the salt of the earth of the economies of most countries.

The post on which you commented was not directed solely at internet or online marketers, but also at business owners in the physical world.

The reality is that in this day and age, your clients or customers of your offline business expect to be able to find information about your business online as well.

That's why you want to be very clear about your vision and mission for your offline business BEFORE you develop your online strategy.

I have followed my own advice and as a result of my reflections and experience, and the constant complaints from my clients and friends about the poor results they get from their websites, and the poor advice they receive from the various companies who've set up their sites, so one of my new businesses that I'm launching this year is http://HubSiteBuilder.com

HubSite builder will launch on Australia Day, 26th January 2010, with the aim of helping small business owners to get high organic search engine ranking FAST!

My existing clients for this service all have offline businesses, understand the value and importance of having an online presence, and are sick and tired of poor results and ill informed advice re marketing via the internet, and have been delighted and even shocked at the results their HubSite Builder site generates.

Anyway, I won't continue to rant Somaie. Instead I thank you again for your comment and wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year in 2010.

To Your Small Business Peak Performance and Profits,
Karyn

Often we forget the little guy, the SMB, in our discussions of the comings and goings of the Internet marketing industry. Sure there are times like this when a report surfaces talking about their issues and concerns but, for the most part, we like to talk about big brands and how they do the Internet marketing thing well or not so well.
